D'EN PLAJA CASTLE

This building, situated at the end of the Sa Caleta beach, is in fact a house-castle built by the Girona industrialist, Narcís Plaja. The project, dating from 1935, was the work of the Girona architect, Isidor Bosch. Construction work, though, was not completed until the 1940s, once the Civil War had finished.

This construction of the building was surrounded by controversy among the local people. Despite this, however, the image of the castle has become one of the symbols identifying Lloret,as, year in year out, it is the subject of postcards and photos taken by the thousands of tourists visiting the town.

Lloret de Mar´s Theatre

Lloret de Mar´s theatre is a venue that respects and is fully integrated within its setting. The town´s Theatre is located at Can Xado´s park, near the Conference Center and the Gran Casino Costa Brava. With a capacity of up to 400 people, three rehearsal rooms with independent entrances and a 270 m2 scenario. Outside there are a sitting area and a stage for outdoor performances. Its multipurpose rooms make it and ideal venue for hosting meetings, dinners and exhibitions. The facility stands out for its funcionality.
The project is from Domenec and Girbau, Domenech i Montaner´s great grandson and designer of Corona d' Arago´s building, the new Barcelona´s institute, the center of Federico Garcia Lorca in Granada and technical services building among aothers.
